McCain picks Sarah Palin for VP

McCain has officially picked his running mate, and it is Alaska's Governor Sarah Palin.

She is a stunningly beautiful 44 year old white woman. Very conservative, but not a neo-con. She hunts, fishes, eats moose-burgers, rides snowmobiles, and is even a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Her politics are very similar to Congressman Ron Paul's, in fact it was speculated by Ron Paul's supporters that if Ron Paul had won the nomination, he should pick her.

She's my kind of woman!

McCain picking Palin seals the deal for me, he will be who I vote for, despite the fact I really dislike McCain and consider him more of a liberal than anything. Remember, he's very old and not in the best health, chances are he might kick the bucket from old age while in office, which would allow Sarah to become president. I would love her to be president.

She is Alaska's governor, and let us not forget Alaska was the state Ron Paul did the best in, during the primaries. Alaskans are generally very friendly, true conservatives. Ron Paul did well in Alaska, lot's of Alaskans voted for him - the same ones that voted Palin into office. So you can be sure that Palin is a good choice, if you're a fan of Ron Paul like I am.

Like Ron Paul, she is also anti-Israel, or at least doesn't believe we should be sending Israel billions of dollars and supporting them in the middle east. This is also a plus in my book. A little bit of trivia, the moment she took office as Governor of Alaska, she sold an Israeli-made personal jet on Ebay, that the last Governor of Alaska wasted money on and bought with taxpayer money. She then used the money (about $2mil) from the sale of the Jet, to help Alaska.

McCain/Palin has my vote over Obama/Biden any day of the week. They should have your vote too, unless you are voting third party, or are a liberal idiot.

But the real question is, will she be enough to help McCain win? She certainly might pull some votes from ex-Hillary supporters that were on the fence and couldn't decide who to vote for. But will her just being a woman, be enough for them to vote Republican? Sarah might be a woman like Hillary, but she's also a conservative, small-government, fiscally conservative gun-loving woman - completely opposite of what Hillary Clinton was.

I must say, I'm perplexed by this choice though. Why would McCain pick Palin? If he was doing it to gain a lead over Obama by choosing a woman and grabbing the female vote, wouldn't it have been a better choice for him to pick someone like Condoleeza Rice, who is both a woman and black? That would surely strengthen McCain's lead much more, because he would grab both the female vote from ex-Hillary supports, and also the vote from some Obama supporters. Maybe Condi just wasn't interested in being VP, or maybe McCain thought she had too much of a connection to George Bush. Who knows.

Regardless, I love Sarah Palin, and think she's an awesome candidate - enough to pinch my nose and vote for the RINO McCain.

Do not waste your vote

I am 18 and will be voting for Ron Paul in both the primary tomorrow, and also in the general election in november either as a write-in or if he runs third party, if he doesn't get the republican nomination. He has opened my eyes and showed me that parties do not matter, republican, democrat, you get the same thing basically, they just take turns. He has showed me that there is no such thing as wasting your vote and you should vote for who you really want to be president, not who's likely to win.

Americans have this mentality that they have to vote for who ever is 'probably going to win'. But it's a flawed mentality. The presidency and elections are not a horse race. You're not going to the track and betting on a horse that has the best shot at winning. You gain nothing, and in fact lose everything, if you vote and elect someone that does not share your philosophy. The only way you would possibly win, is if you are actually betting money on the election, but come on, how many people actually do that? I actually have a friend who HATES John McCain and wants to see Mike Huckabee elected, but says he is going to vote for McCain just because Huckabee has no chance. lol. Does this fool not understand that if he, and people like him stopped that idiotic mentality, and actually voted for Huckabee, he would have a much better shot at winning?

Americans wonder why they keep getting a crappy president every election. We had Bush Sr. who was such a crappy president he didn't get relelected for his 2nd term. We had Clinton who everyone wanted to impeach. Then we have Bush Jr who everyone, even republicans dislike, and want to impeach. Americans get what comes to them, if they want to keep electing the same idiots to office just because they are the 'likely' winners.

I have a question: What's the point in even having an election, if everyone is just going to vote for the same person because they are the 'likely winner'? Let's just skip the election, and make the 'likely winner' president before any elections even happen.

So yes, I will be voting for Ron Paul. I know he won't win the nomination because too many people are idiots and vote for someone just because they're popular, but at least I know I won't be wasting my vote like people think. To truly waste my vote would be to vote for the lesser of 2 evil, which I will never, ever do again.

Vote Fred Thompson 2008!

Man, this guy is great. A true American hero. A true conservative. A republican for the people! As soon as he officially enters the race, you can be sure he will get my support! Just look at his sexy balding mug:

He looks happy, because he knows he's going to win.

But enough with how sexy he is! Let's see where he stands on the issues. Yeah, we all know where candidates stand on the issues doesn't matter. Just look at Barack Obama, who gets many votes from black persons just because he's black. Or how he gets lots of votes from females, because he's "tall dark and handsome". But enough with Obama. Let's learn more about Fred Thompson:

* Fred Voted For The Iraq War.
* Fred Voted For The Patriot Act.

* Fred Voted For More Gun Safety Laws.
* Fred Is Tough On Crime And Voted For Roving Wiretaps.

* Fred Has Promised To Nuke Iran.
* Fred Will Protect You From Terrorists.

* Fred Thompson starred in the hit television show Law and Order, just like Ronald Reagan was on television.

* Fred's young wife Jeri Thompson, used to be an exotic dancer.

* Fred was a lobbyist for a pro-abortion group.

Yeah. He's just that damn good, and a true conservative, unlike that douchebag Ron Paul. Any one who doesn't vote for Fred Thompson is either a liberal or a dumbass.

And by request, here's a photo of his wife, who is such a hottie:

I am so jealous of Fred. Any way, "Vote Fred, or Be Dead!"

Fred Thompson 2008!
